Ruth Funk Centre For Textile Art @ Florida Institute of Technology

Perhaps not as well-known as it should be, the Ruth Funk Centre for Textile Art housed at the Florida Institute of Technology has an extensive and wide-ranging textile collection. It embraces 18th - 20th century European and North American embroidery, lace, quilts and other needlework including the Stuart-era panel above; 17th - 19th century European samplers; early 20th century American and European costume and related accessories; and traditional handmade textiles, garments and related accessories from Africa, Central Asia, China, India, Mexico, Central and South America spanning the early 19th to mid-20th centuries.
