Ther are some pretty samplers for auction at Sworder's Summer Country House Sale at Stansted Mount Fitchet in Essex on 3 June 2014. Above you can see Lot 165, which is an early 18th century sampler by Ann Baily dated Mar 25 1725, embroidered with The Ten Commandments and portrait busts of Moses and Aaron. It measures 32 x 31cm and comes with an estimate: of £300 - £500.
Lot 166 above is an early 19th century sampler, embroidered with a central panel of sheep before buildings, and a verse Industry taught in early days. It was worked by Maria Clark aged 7 years. Measuring 50cm x 36cm its estimate is £200 - £300.
Above is Lot 167 An 18th century needlework band sampler embroidered with brightly coloured flowers, verses and numbers. It measures 48 x 34cm and has an estimate of £200 - £400.
Finally, Lot 168 above is an early 18th century sampler embroidered with 'The Belief' or Creed, within a foliate border. It is signed Elizabeth Green and dated March the Eleventh 1729. It measures 32.5 x 30cm and has an estimate of £100 - £200. For more details of this sale, click here.

Oh I cannot afford these but WOW! They are stunning. The detail and colors and gosh the time too taken to stitch these.. just simply wonderful.
