I always get a bit upset when I see a sampler looking like this. What happened between that J and that K in Harriet Tuttell Curtis' life will ever be a mystery. But look, she has signed and dated it already in anticipation of finishing it - what does that tell us?
I didn't expect a Shakespeare family sampler - though the discovery would have been something to really write about. But if you go to the end of this post you will find a link to the first edition of an on-line Shakespeare Magazine, set up for his 450th anniversary. But first, here is the link to see the Warwickshire samplers. You will need to enter sampler in the top right hand search box.
