You can join the Mary Wigham SAL whenever you want - it is not a race

Luned in Anglesey is just starting out as you can see from the lovely photo she sent me. Those of you who think you are behind, can't catch up, are too slow, too busy ..... it is not a problem. Just stitch at your own pace - which is the right pace after all - and enjoy with us!

  5. Debora have no fear! I am definitely the slowest stitcher! And Aury I agree, these colors are really pretty. Would love to know the shades she used and whose threads.

  6. Thank you for the acknowledgment and permission to be a little slower than others. I admire those that can stitch fast and wish I could hone my talents to that. I try to remember that slow and steady still wins the race. Thanks for taking the guilt away. Happy stitching to all.

  7. My specially ordered fabric hasn't arrived yet, so I am surely one of the slowest starters yet – I haven't even begun! lol But I am looking forward to stitching this beauty.

  9. Thank you for your kind comments. There are so many beautiful photos of work so much further ahead than I am, but your and Jacqueline's comments made me feel better about being behind. No more guilt, just enjoyment!
In answer to your query Aury and Marianne (and thank you for you comments) I'm using Crescent Colours, Weeks Dye Works and Gentle Arts hand dyes threads, trying to get a reasonably close colour match. I've used CC Jakey Brown for pink 356, CC Peanut Brittle for yellow 725, GA Barn Grey for blue 927 and at the moment I'm using WDW Old Blue Jeans for 3768 and debating between Pelican Grey or Dolphin for 930.
