Mary Wigham Download is Here
At last Mary is here! She is a Free download. But perhaps you might be kind enough even in these hard times to donate $1 every time you download an instalment. All the doantions are going right through to the Bursar at Ackworth School - though he is probably tucked up in bed right now.

Obrigada Jaqueline!
ReplyDeleteThe download, as well as the donation are done.
Mary kept me busy since I got home today, but now she's sending a happy woman to bed.
Goodnight
Thank you Jacqueline = donation made and download too.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't sure how many parts there would be for the entire design, so I just made a $10 donation and will add more later if need be. Thanks again for sharing this wonderful sampler with us!!
ReplyDelete$10 is lovely! Thank you so very much for your kindness. Mary Wigham will appear in 9 instalments.
ReplyDeleteHi Jacqueline,

Thanks so much for doing this. Glad to contribute to the cause too. Can't wait to start stitching!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jacqueline. Download and first donation are done. Merci et bonne nuit....

Jacqueline - I have a quick question. I printed out the DMC color list from the earlier post and noted there were 23 colors. When I printed the chart today, I noticed only 22 colors are listed. It seems DMC 966 is the extra color listed on the blog that doesn't appear in the chart listing. I just wanted to confirm which is correct and whether DMC 966 is needed for the sampler.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Melissa
It is just a wisp of 966 that is needed and I debated for a long time if we could manage with the slighter darker shade of green and perhaps you can. It is hard colour matching old samplers because often the floss is variegated in shades...You won't be needing the 966 until instalment 5 - so have a look when you get there and see what you think.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the quick response, Jacqueline! I think I should have some 966 in my stash, so I should be fine. :)
ReplyDeleteDownload and donation complete!! Excited to start. Thank you Jacqueline!!
ReplyDeleteI have been reading your blog and its GREAT! Love the pictures!

So eager to start Mary, but I think she will have to wait until the weekend. Work does get in the way of stitching! I made a $25.00 donation now, rather than donating as each part is released. Thank you, Jacqueline, for doing this, and thanks to Ackworth for making the sampler available to you.

Jacqueline,
ReplyDeleteWould it be easier for Ackworth to make just one donation instead of 9 small ones?
Would one donation also help with the paypal fees?
I downloaded part 1...my fabric won`t be here for about 10-12 days...I am so anxious to start!!
ReplyDeleteDonation made also...I only wish it was bigger, but I may be able to manage more later...thanks so much for doing this! It must be a lot of work!
muchas gracias
ReplyDeleteJacqueline, I have also donated the entire sum at once. Thanks for possibility to stitch this wonderful sampler!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jacqueline for this wonderful design. Are the parts going from top left to right?

Thanks for organising this ,Jaqueline. I've just made a donation, but as I'm in the UK I'd like to send a cheque with the whole donation. It'll,hopefully, save Paypal charges and exchange rate fluctuations.
ReplyDeleteDo you have the postal address and a contact name for the school?
Holw lovely and how gracious of you to do this! Donation made and will anxiously await the remainder of this beautiful project!
ReplyDeleteHow love a project! And, thanks so much for doing this! Donation is on its way and I anxiously await the remainder of this beautiful project!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful SAL I look forward to seeing all the updates on the blogs

Thanks so much for doing this Jacqueline. I've done my donation, I just did one larger donation rather than several small ones to save on the paypal fees. I just figured I would donate something close to what I'd pay for one of your charts. Hope that's okay.
ReplyDeleteJust curious, are you going to post the grand total of all the donations at some point?
Gracias Jacqueline. He descargado la primera parte y he hecho una donación de diez dólares muy a pesar de Paypal, que no me dejaba :-)
ReplyDeleteOs deseo a todas un gozoso bordado del sampler de Mary.

Download and donation complete. Thank you very much for this present.
ReplyDeleteWish I would have thought of making one donation initially - I'm sure it would save PP fees - OK - I'll catch up and complete next download. Thanks again Jacqueline for the lovely Miss Mary - I can't wait to start but am afraid I am going to have to order linen - I am going by the LNS today but she usually only has very basic linens and not much in 36ct. I will pull my DMC so I have fresh new skeins. Thanks for all you do for us and the preservation at Ackworth. Melody
ReplyDeleteThis quaker sampler is so beautiful!

I'm SO disappointed!!
ReplyDelete1--A donation was made to Ackworth (I decided to do just one to help keep paypal charges down)
2--The chart is printed and is on the stand next to where I stitch.
3--The threads are pulled and ready to go
BUT--my linen hasn't arrived!! I am so disappointed--perhaps tomorrow!!
Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteI've just done a single payment for $25, otherwise my bank will charge me a conversion from sterling each time. I hope that's ok? I'm very happy to contribute to the work of Ackworth School in conserving these samplers and to thank you Jacqueline for producing such superb needlework items and jumping in with a terrific blog too :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Jacqueline for the opportunity you give us to embroider this beautiful sampler, I love it!
ReplyDeleteI downloaded the chart and I made the donation. Like others, I also preferred to make a single payment.
Best regards!
Donation and download are complete and thank you so very much! I've a question though. I can't find a total stitch count (ex 235 x 235) and I'm using 30ct fabric. Where can I find this? Thanks!
ReplyDeletethank you Jacqueline for this beautiful sampler...
ReplyDeleteI try the link on Gio's blog and I made the donation, stamp the cart and started....
ciao Maria
This quaker sampler is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for this present.
Well, Jacqueline, I need a new project like another hole in my head! Since I have no willpower, I'm joining everyone else, and I'm so excited! My donation and download both worked perfectly. Thank you for the opportunity and for making it so easy.
ReplyDeleteDonation is complete, 25.00 for all. But, I have not been able to download the first chart. Is there a problem with the website?
ReplyDeleteI put down a full donation for the whole sampler, hope that is okay to do in just one lump rather than every time. I didn't realize that you wanted us to do a per part donation, so I just did the whole thing at once. Anyway, it saves me time. My question is do we download all the charts from here, and how will we konw when they are available? Thanks for the reply...

Good Afternoon and hello from North Idaho, USA
ReplyDeleteI found your beautiful site today and would love to join the SAL. My granddaughter Lillian will be stitching with me. I have been unable to down load the pattern because the band width has been exceeded. I will keep checking back and look forward very much to joining.
