Tullie House Museum Samplers

In an early blog I have mentioned the Tullie House Sampler Collection in Carlisle. The curator there has given me permission to show a sampler from the collection to you. This idyllic sampler of 1770 depicting a lady dressed as shepherdess offering a summer garland to her swain watched by lambs floating on grassy tussocks is one of my all-time favourites. If you would like to register interest in a downloadable colour .pdf of the entire collection of 64 samplers with museum notes, then just email me.

I had tried emailing sometime last week, but my email was returned to me because of quota overload. So, I thought I would leave me email in the comment section. I hope you get it...
