Some very poignant personal items belonging to Marie Antoinette are to be auctioned today in Paris. The first is Lot PH120 the pair of silk shoes above with an estimate of 8,000€ - 10,000€.
Above is Lot PH122, the cotton jersey sleeve worn by Marie Antoinette when she was imprisioned in the Temple in Paris - its estimate is 2,000€ - 2,500€. Lot PH123 below is a fragment of the last dress worn by the doomed queen which has an estimate of 3,000€ - 3,500€. For more details of the sale, click here.
