How to Make Lavender Bottles Video
I think this video explains the making better than I could. The important thing to remember is that it is rather like weaving Dorset buttons - you need an odd number of stems. Do show me how you get along, won't you?

THANK YOU!! I like lavender...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, always wondered how they were made and will definitely try this.
ReplyDeleteLove the lavender bottles. my husband loves lavender and has planted it as a border along the garden, there are interestingly enough 22 plants. And to think he cuts them off at the end of each season and tosses in the compost. I am hurring out there today to get 22 stems and try my hand at making a lavender bottle. He tells me they needed to be fresh, but I will try the spent ones and see how I do. thank you so much for the idea. Denise, USA
ReplyDeleteAround here we always called them Lavender Wands, something a fairy would have. the stem would be longer and the ribbon would continue down the stems. I always wanted to make one and now i will.
