Janet Bolton @ West Dean 28-31 March 2014
The well-loved Janet Bolton is back at West Dean College near Chichester, UK in March with a long-weekend course. Having participated in her classes I certainly can recommend them. Janet has been working with patchwork art since the Sixties when she discovered that painting with textiles gave her the flexibility of design and practice that she enjoyed most. Happy to stay at home and raise children after her marriage, Janet continued her passion and sold from market stalls to cover the costs of her materials. Then, in the Eighties, Janet's work took off and she exhibited at major craft fairs at home and abroad. (I first came across Janet's work myself when I was in Edinburgh in the late Eighties.) Janet says: I love fabric. I just love the feel of it. It's so free and wonderful to work with because you can put a bit down and move it around - you can do anything you want with it. Below you can see a picture of Janet taken for the April 1995 issue of Needlecraft.
Janet's course runs at the wonderful West Dean College (near Chichester, UK) for the weekend 28 - 30 March 2014. The fee is £298 with 5% reduction for on-line bookings. Click here for more details and to book.
