Resignation By Sampler - Anyone?
I read with much amusement the other day that Chris Holmes, who works at the UK’s Border Service at London’s Stansted Airport, had resigned by communicating his message in the form of cake. He is leaving to start a cake business. You can read more of the story by clicking here. So it occurred to me if anyone - you or someone you know - had ever resigned, proposed, objected, complained, applied for a job or whatever by sampler? Just asking....

There was an article in the paper recently about the WWII POWs who stitched anti Nazi pieces in secret, using morse code and threads from their clothing I believe.
ReplyDeleteA more modern organisation is the Craftivist Collective who use stitching as a form of protest, here's their website. Sarah is a great person, very enthusiastic and dedicated to art and craft as well as having her voice heard in a non violent way.

Thank you so much for sharing this Jo.
ReplyDeleteIf resigning by sampler, at least you knew the person gave it much thought. Considering the hours that would go into it.
