Horsham Museum Costume Catalogue To Download
Horsham Museum, UK, now has its costume collection with descriptions in a downloadable 20 page PDF document. I thought you might like a preview of the Quaker dress in the collection. Circa 1831 -1840; it is a full length dress in fine cotton printed with an alternating floral and plain stripe. It has a fitted part-lined bodice with hook and handmade loop back fastening; leg of mutton sleeves; cuffs with two pearl buttons apiece and one pearl button at the neck.
