This is Peruvian sampler from the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, its curious animal, figures and gemometric designs worked in every direction in cotton on camelid ground, measuring approximately 28.5" x 42"in. (72cm x 106 cm), from the Michael C. Rockefeller Memorial Collection (Bequest of Nelson A. Rockefeller, 1979) is dated to 2nd century BCE - is this the earliest recorded sampler?
