Winners of the Lambert Barnard Factsheets and Great Courses' Art of the Northern Renaissance

Last week we had a giveaway for two Lambert Barnard Factsheets.
And I am delighted to announce the winners tonight. They are Marie from North Carolina, USA and Ruth from Sunderland, UK. I love meeting stitchers through our giveaways - thank you to everyone who writes something about themselves. We shall be hearing more about Ruth this week and her work stitching St Cuthbert's Banner for the magnificent Cathedral in Durham.
If you are interested in early art and would like to learn much more, then I cannot recommend too highly The Art of the Northern Renaissance from the Teaching Company's Great Courses. Until May 12th, this course of 36 lectures of 30 minute duration each on DVDs (6 of them) together with course guidebook, reading list etc is available for just £24.99. I watch these while ironing and love them!
And if you haven't been to see the Jan Gossaert's Renaissance at the National Gallery in London, then you should jolly well get on down there! You have just until the end of May to see this stunning exhibition. And while I am in hyperactive museum mode, make a date to visit the upcoming exhibition starting on 23 June 2011 at the British Museum entitled Treasures of Heaven: Saints, Relics and Devotion in Medieval Europe. If you are a National Trust Member, look in the latest National trust Magazine, there is a voucher for a 2 for 1 ticket offer for this exhibition.
