Talking of Backsides
I am very grateful to Mayté from Magicxstitch for sending me an image of the reverse of her Sarah Moon - this is soooo impressive. I shall never be satisfied with the reverses of my stitching again! Mayté says it is based upon the English Continental method - a method she has been teaching for 10 years. Thank you very much for sharing Mayté. Do click on the picture for a large image.

This backside is amazing, but unfortunately if I click on it I just a photo of the same size, not bigger...Maybe there is something wrong? Or is it my browser?
ReplyDeleteMaytè is famous in the stitching world for her 'backsides'!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, we couldn't work out what was happening since we had loaded a much bigger image - however, we have reloaded it and now you can see a bigger image.
ReplyDeleteWow, is really impressive!!! Now I´m upset of the back of my stitching.
ReplyDeleteI try my back so neatly as possible but when I see this...... What a work of art!
ReplyDeleteWow, that's some neat work! I don't mind that my backs are disorganised, I figure that it's ok as long as I don't have long 'unburied' jumps :o)
ReplyDeleteVery neat back...makes me feel quite embarassed about the back of my samplers. I have learned a way of hiding threads that some may find odd...on the front of the work under the stitches. It works best if your thread is not too different in tone from your fabric, and also it`s best not to hide them this way when stitching with one strand...
