Handwerken Zonder Grenzen (Handwork Without Frontiers) is a long-established and greatly respected Dutch magazine which was the original template for Piecework.
This edition in mint condition has around 75 pages and is special because it has wonderful articles - in Dutch - on early needlework and much more.
There is a wonderful article on stumpwork with details of a special mirror
and then there is an article on early alms purses...
sometimes these purses are mistaken for sweet bags...
Then there is a full charted pattern for this fabulous Dutch sampler...
and a charted pattern for the cross-stitched 'bib' worn by the young Virgin Mary in this painting of 1500 - and much, much more besides...
