Piecework is the US journal inspired by Handwerken Zonder Grenzen. These are over 70 pages in length and are in excellent condition.
The content varies from one magazine to another but always the emphasis is on fine hand made textiles from museum pieces
to projects you can make yourself
and pieces from around the world - and I so love these damask German mangle cloths!
This edition has an excellent article on early embroidered English jackets
as well as the history and design of Hungarian embroidery.
The final edition here is more or less devoted to patchwork
and includes interesting historical quilts
as well as modern designs by Kaffe Fassett
and a superb project for a Candlewick Quilt for you to make in these long winter months....
