The Micheál and Elizabeth Feller Collection Volume I * June 2011
Publishing books - or other items for that matter - is never an easy journey. And some of you will know that we have been delayed with this book since Mary Brooks, one of the foremost experts on early needlework, has had a particularly trying time this year. She has had to lead the deeply saddening closure of the Textile Conservation Centre here in the UK while managing the health ups and downs of her parents - as well as working with me on the new book and putting together a projected exhibition of these eye-wateringly beautiful and astonishing pieces so that they can be seen at last by all stitchers and lovers of needlwork. So, it is my pleasure to tell you the good news now that the full text is in and we are all systems go here and we expect to be print-ready by March for publication in June.
