Tennant's Auctioneers have two Ackworth School samplers for auction in their 3 July sale. The first is a medallion sampler by Phillis Lucas dated 1801 with an estimate of £3,000-£5,000.

And the second is Ann Merrick's early text sampler of 1788 with an estimate of £1500-£2000. The text is from William Penn's 'A Discourse Shewing the Nature and Discipline of the Holy Cross of Christ...'

Thomas Mawer has about 35 samplers for sale in his 5 June auction, amongst them is this simple Quaker sampler - although there were 3 Elizabeth Evans from Ackworth, none were at Ackworth on the date given on this sampler. There is no estimate.

Also in Thomas Mawer's sale is this 18th century embroidered picture of Orpheus.

And this wonderful Spanish sampler.
