Free Jigsaw Download - A Boxer in the Making?
This jigsaw is taken from an engraved Calendrier des Bergers - Shepherd's Calendar of 1497. A feature of the period from Aries to Taurus - see the ram and bull? - is a gentleman bearing a stirps or a family tree ready to plant. (Extirpation means uprooting someone's whole tree.) He also bears a wand of flowers in a very similar way to the boxers on early band samplers. The target of his rising sap is the gentlelady behind him. It would be nice if she was stitching, but here she is making a garland or chaplet. In the following month in the Calendar they are both seen riding away together. I hope you enjoy the jigsaw. However, sadly, this is not going to work for Mac users. Instructions: Click here next Click Open, then click the .EXE file name and click Run, when you see the jigsaw puzzle, click Play Too many pieces? Try clicking on Trays on the top tool bar to create any number of resizeable trays to sort your pieces ........ you can also click the Cheat button and watch the puzzle solve itself! The software is by David Gray designer of Jigsaws Galore - the powerful jigsaw player and creator for Windows.

Jacqueline, thank you so much for putting this up. It's the first time I'm trying this. Nice way to keep me from starting a new cross stitch project :o)
