    Dear all
    It was an emotional moment for Hilde to be celebrated for five intense years of "Lapzussen". The "sampler quilt" is a unique gift to show the friendship between the participating ladies towards their "boss". And Hilde deserves this token, made and given by her "amicae". It will not only warm her legs, but also her heart.
    Hilde's surgery went well. I have just been texting with her a minute ago and she may leave hospital later this morning. She will, however, have to keep silent for a whole week. And this will probably be the harder bit. But we know she'll come back stronger.
    As they say in French: "reculer pour mieux sauter". And we're sure she will.
    Anyway, our cultural heritage society in Kontich is very pleased with the interest from across the Channel.
