Published in 2006 for the beginning of the exhibition of embroidered pockets at the Museum of Costume in Bath, this very attractively produced and illustrated book is much more than a catalogue of the exhibition.
It is a comprehensive history of the pocket and examines its personal, social and economic place in history.
This 40 page book is in excellent condition. It is card-backed with double fold out end pages permitting the inclusion of the 1849 tale of
Grandmamma's Pockets by Mrs SC Hall.
