Free Jigsaw Download * Harriet Powers Bible Quilt

Some time ago I bought a wonderful book called Stitching Stars which tells of Harriet Powers' quilts and this is an image from it. Harriet Powers was born a slave in 1837 in Georgia. Later in life she began to make quilts and received encouragement to do so. She used traditional appliquĂ© techniques to record local legends, bible stories and astronomical events on her quilts. Only two of her quilts have survived: Bible Quilt 1886 and Pictorial Quilt 1898. Her quilts are considered among the finest examples of nineteenth-century Southern quilting. Her work is on display at the National Museum of American History in Washington, DC, and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Massachusetts. Click here for how to buy the book. To download the jigsaw - Click here next Click Open, then click the .EXE file name and click Run, when you see the jigsaw puzzle, click Play Too many pieces? Try clicking on Trays on the top tool bar to create any number of resizeable trays to sort your pieces ........ you can also click the Cheat button and watch the puzzle solve itself! The software is by David Gray designer of Jigsaws Galore - the powerful jigsaw player and creator for Windows.
